If you are moving a client into Northern Portugal, you need an agent on the ground who answers, keeps you informed and treats your client the way you would. Moovax has been operating from Porto since 2017, with our own crews, our own vehicles and our own warehouse in Custóias, Matosinhos.
We work as destination agent for international movers: we receive and devan containers at our warehouse, handle customs documentation collection, and complete the final delivery, unpacking and assembly at the residence.

Container reception and devanning at our own warehouse, including 20 and 40 foot containers. Inventory check against your packing list, with any discrepancies reported to you the same day, in writing and with photographs.
Final delivery to the residence, placement of furniture in the rooms indicated by the client, unpacking of fragile items, simple furniture assembly and removal of packing debris on the same day. Your client is not left with a hallway full of cardboard.
Temporary storage between arrival and delivery, in private lockable units at our warehouse, for cases where the destination residence is not ready.
Our warehouse and crews
Our warehouse is in Custóias, Matosinhos, a few minutes from Porto and with direct motorway access to the port of Leixões and to the A1, A3 and A4. Storage is in individual lockable units, with controlled and logged access.
Crews are our own, not subcontracted labour hired for the day. That is the single biggest difference in delivery quality at destination, and it is the reason our Google rating sits at 4.6 across more than 180 reviews from end clients.
Coverage
We cover Northern Portugal from our base in Porto: Porto and the metropolitan area, Braga, Guimarães, Famalicão, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo and the surrounding districts. We also deliver to the rest of mainland Portugal, and to Madeira and the Azores by sea.
We work in English, Portuguese, French and Spanish, so your client is dealt with in a language they are comfortable in, and so are you.
How we work with agents
Send us the shipment details, the packing list and the expected arrival, and we come back with a quotation for the destination leg. We will tell you honestly if access at the delivery address is likely to be a problem, because narrow streets and old buildings are common here and a shuttle may be required.
You get one named contact for the file, updates at each stage, and a signed delivery report with the inventory check. Any damage found is documented on site with photographs, so your claim handling is straightforward.
We are a licensed Portuguese transport operator, licence number 671677, and a member of ANTRAM, the Portuguese road haulage association.
Origin services from Northern Portugal
We also act on the origin side. If you have a client leaving Northern Portugal, we handle the survey, export packing, inventory, loading and delivery of the shipment into your network, with the paperwork prepared to your requirements.

Do you handle 20 and 40 foot containers?
Yes. We receive and devan both at our warehouse in Custóias, Matosinhos, with an inventory check against your packing list and same day reporting of any discrepancy.
Can you store a shipment before delivery?
Yes. We have private lockable storage units at the same warehouse, which is useful when the destination residence is not ready. Access is controlled and logged.
Which areas do you cover?

Do you handle customs clearance?
We collect and prepare the documentation required from the client and coordinate with the customs broker. The clearance itself is filed by the broker or forwarder, and we tell you clearly which part sits with whom on each file.
Are your crews in house?
Yes. We do not hire day labour for deliveries. The crew that arrives at your client's home is our own, trained and uniformed, which is what keeps delivery quality consistent.
